Research and Project Management in Artificial Intelligence

3 credits

This course introduces students to the history, evolution, and key concepts of AI. It also covers the fundamentals of the scientific method and research processes, along with practical tools that support innovation and project development in AI environments.

Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Computing

3 credits

You will study methodologies for the proactive management of occupational risks associated with the development, implementation, and launch of digital initiatives. There will be a special focus on the software industry, which is particularly relevant in this field. You will learn how to identify problems related to IT security systems management, audit plan design, IT security implementation, the level of compliance with security rules, cloud security, and proactive security plan design.

Machine Learning

3 credits

This course focuses on machine learning techniques as meta-algorithms that use data as a source of knowledge. Students will learn how to build models for control systems and knowledge extraction from data.

2nd semester

Neural Networks and Deep Learning

3 credits

Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of deep learning, including neural network architectures, their evolution, training processes, and deployment. The course also covers optimization techniques and real-world applications.

Natural Language Processing (NLP)

3 credits

This course explores computational linguistics and how machines process and understand human language. Students will study key algorithms for lexical, syntactic, and semantic analysis.

Computer Vision

3 credits

Students will learn how AI systems replicate human perception using visual and sensory data. The course provides the tools needed to understand computational perception, including vision and speech processing.

3rd semester

Automated Reasoning and Planning

3 credits

This course examines how intelligent systems represent and interact with the world, both individually and collaboratively. Students will study search techniques and planning algorithms used in advanced AI systems, including multi-agent environments.

Design Methodology and Project Management

3 credits

Students will learn how to design and manage technology projects using structured methodologies, applying quality standards and best practices throughout all project phases.

4th semester

Interactive Information Visualization

3 credits

This course focuses on representing data visually through charts, maps, and diagrams, both for communication and analysis. Students will learn the core principles of information visualization.

Big Data Processing Engineering

3 credits

Students will identify and work with software tools and programming environments for large-scale data analysis, selecting the most appropriate technologies for each project.

 

5th semester

1 course
Artificial Intelligence Capstone Project

6 credits

In the Capstone Project, students will tackle a real-world problem through a practical and hands-on approach. They will develop an original project from scratch, applying the knowledge and skills acquired throughout the program. Each student will be guided by a faculty advisor and, upon completion, will present their project to an academic committee.
