Students who meet the commencement requirements and have successfully completed all courses and the capstone from May 2024 through August 2025 are invited.
Invited students will receive an email and must confirm their attendance via the provided link. For questions or requests to participate if an invitation was not received, please contact commencement@miuniversity.edu
The registration deadline is January 22, 2026, at 12:00 AM Spanish time, that is, January 21 at 6:00 PM Miami time.
At Miami Dade College, Wolfson Auditorium, 300 NE 2nd Ave, Miami, FL 33132, for those attending in person
Attendance at the ceremony is free of charge for both students and their properly registered guest. However, students are responsible for purchasing the Cap & Gown.

-Students must arrive 1 hour and 30 minutes before the start time (i.e., at 1:30 p.m.).
-Guests must arrive at least 30 minutes in advance.
Entry will not be allowed after the ceremony has started.
Yes, once the maximum capacity is reached, registration will only be available for the online option.
Each graduate may attend with a maximum of one guest.
For organizational reasons, guests must be at least 18 years old, as they will be seated in a different area from the graduates and the university cannot be responsible for their supervision.
If additional capacity is available, extra passes may be granted, with priority given to those who confirmed their attendance first.
No. Any changes or requests must be communicated and approved in advance at commencement@miuniversity.edu.
No, it is not necessary. Each guest will be asked for the name of the student they are accompanying. Remember, only one guest per student is allowed. Guests who are not registered in advance will not be allowed entry.
While formal attire is recommended for this academic event, jackets and ties are not mandatory.
Yes, you are required to wear the appropriate Cap & Gown for this ceremony, which will be available through an official supplier. Students participating in the ceremony have been sent a link via email to purchase their Cap & Gown. You can choose to have it shipped to your home or pick it up on the days and times prior to the ceremony at the MIU Campus in Miami.
Details about on-campus pickup will be provided later via email.
Yes. Professional photographers will be capturing images throughout the ceremony. The photos will be available on the graduation website the week following the event. Additionally, this photography service will offer professional photos of each graduate with their family, which will be available for purchase a few days after the event. An official photo backdrop (photocall) will also be available for you to take your own pictures.
No, entry requires valid ID, and only registered students can participate.
Yes, the streaming is available on our YouTube page and will go live a few minutes before the graduation begins.
Before the registration deadline, you can contact commencement@miuniversity.edu if you wish to change your registration modality. Once the registration deadline has passed, it will no longer be possible to request a change.
At the time of the ceremony, a symbolic diploma will be presented as proof of attendance, which does not have official status.
No, it is not possible to attend a different commencement, as attendance is required for each specific ceremony.
