To support you on this journey, we have compiled the most frequently asked questions from our candidates, along with clear answers that will help you make the best decision for your professional development.

What is an MBA?

An MBA, or Master of Business Administration, is a graduate degree that provides you with the essential tools and mindset required for business management and leadership.

You will gain in-depth knowledge in areas such as finance, accounting, marketing, human resources, operations, and business strategy.

Is an MBA worth it?

Professionals who earn an MBA report an average salary increase of 33% after finishing their studies, according to the finance and technology company SoFi, based on data from the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC).

Full-time students experienced a salary increase of 42%, while those who worked while completing their master’s degree saw their salaries grow by 29%.

For an accurate cost-benefit analysis, you should calculate how much more you will earn in the future and take into account the total investment required to obtain your degree.

How long does it take to get an MBA?

At MIU, the International MBA program lasts 18 months, or 5 semesters.

There are three semesters per year: from January to May, from May to August, and from August to December. You’ll have a one- or two-week vacation between semesters.

What can you do with an MBA?

You are qualified for a diverse range of roles; there are no limits to what you can achieve.

An MBA prepares you for senior management roles, such as:

  • Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
  • Chief Operating Officer (COO)
  • Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)
  • Director of various departments or divisions

You can reach the highest tiers of the sector you choose, including:

  • Consulting
  • Finance
  • Marketing
  • Human Resources
  • Healthcare
  • Technology
  • Data Analytics
  • Operations and Supply Chain
  • Education
  • Public Sector
  • Entrepreneurship

How do you get an MBA?

Each university has its own admission requirements for an MBA.

To study at MIU, you must first hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree. Your degree can be in any field; it doesn’t need to be related to business.

You’ll also have to fill out the application form and provide a copy of your ID and your updated resume.

Students who are not U.S. citizens or residents have a few additional requirements to meet. MIU will help you get your student visa — all you need to do is contact our team.
