Miami brings together international talent, innovation and business, driven by UNIR and MIU.
Miami will host the first edition of Miami International Week from October 20 to 23, 2026, an immersive experience that will connect MBA students and executive profiles with some of the most influential institutions, companies and organizations in the US business ecosystem. Driven by Universidad Internacional de La Rioja (UNIR), MIU City University Miami and the Spain-US Chamber of Commerce, the initiative aims to bring international university talent closer to the main centers of innovation, entrepreneurship and economic development in South Florida.
The launch of this international week is one of the first results of the cooperation agreement signed this year between UNIR, MIU and the Spain-US Chamber of Commerce, an alliance created to strengthen the link between universities and business, promote high-level international education and generate new collaboration opportunities on both sides of the Atlantic.
Four days of exclusive experiences
Miami International Week was created with the aim of becoming a benchmark space for executive education and the international projection of talent. Over four days, participants will have access to exclusive experiences that will show them how some of the most relevant players in the US business, technology, financial and media sectors operate.
The program will kick off at The Lab Miami, one of the city’s leading hubs for innovation and entrepreneurship. There, attendees will analyze the role of the United States as a global engine for startups, venture capital and technological innovation, and will also take part in workshops focused on developing business models and entrepreneurial projects.

The second day will take place at Telemundo’s headquarters, where students will get a close look at the economic and cultural influence of the Hispanic market in the United States. The visit will help them understand how one of the leading Spanish-language media companies connects with millions of consumers and plays a strategic role in the growth of numerous business sectors.
The third day will focus on financial and technological transformation. Participants will visit Banco Sabadell’s facilities in Miami and attend sessions led together with representatives from Visa, covering trends related to fintech, digital banking, financial innovation and new payment systems. The goal will be to analyze how the financial sector is evolving in an environment shaped by digitalization and the globalization of business.
Grand finale at MIU’s campus
The intensive agenda will conclude on the final day at MIU City University Miami, where attendees will put into practice the knowledge acquired throughout the week through specialized workshops and final presentations before experts. They will also work on the skills needed to pitch business projects to potential investors in highly competitive environments.
For UNIR and MIU, Miami International Week represents a unique opportunity to reinforce their commitment to education connected to the international business reality. Both institutions share an academic vision focused on innovation, entrepreneurship and employability, promoting experiences that allow students to complement their education with a global, applied perspective.

Likewise, the collaboration with the Spain-US Chamber of Commerce strengthens the institutional reach of an initiative designed to bring US businesses and the international university community closer together. Through this experience, students and professionals will be able to expand their network, exchange knowledge with business leaders and better understand the factors that make Miami one of the main economic and innovation hubs in the Americas.
Miami, recognized as the gateway between the United States, Latin America and Europe, thus becomes the ideal setting for a week dedicated to fostering leadership, entrepreneurship and the creation of new professional development opportunities in a global environment.
