Scholarships for students from Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East

MIU offers various scholarships that cover between 10% and 50% of tuition fees for applicants who have graduated from a recognized educational institution in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, or the Middle East and wish to earn a bachelor’s or master’s degree online.

To apply for this scholarship, you must submit either your original transcript or a certified and sealed copy issued by the educational institution. Your transcript must be accompanied by an official credential evaluation, sent to MIU by an officially recognized evaluation service. 

You’ll also need to fill out and send the scholarship application, indicating the type of scholarship you wish to apply for and the program of study you’re interested in.

Maximum number of scholarships awarded per semester: 75.

Scholarships for students from the Dominican Republic

The International Scholarship Program run by the Dominican Republic’s Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (MESCyT) has an agreement to offer a full scholarship for MIU’s online Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Management, and New Technologies.

These scholarships are aimed at supporting outstanding Dominican students who wish to advance their professional career through higher education. When you finish the master’s program, your degree will be valid in the D.R.

  • Scholarship offered by MIU: 68%
  • Scholarship offered by MESCyT: 32%
  • Total: 100% of tuition and fees

Eligibility requirements:

  • You must be either a citizen of the Dominican Republic with permanent residency in the D.R., or the child of a Dominican citizen residing abroad. 
  • You must have graduated from a higher education institution with a minimum academic index of 80 (on a scale of 0 to 100) or 3 (on a scale of 0 to 4).
  • You must meet MIU’s admission requirements.
