Wynwood Walls

Let’s begin in the vibrant Wynwood Arts District, a former industrial warehouse district that has blossomed into a mecca for colorful murals, art galleries, and quirky shops.

Opened in 2009, Wywood Walls is Miami’s street art museum par excellence, featuring over 35 murals and two street art galleries.

Museum of Graffiti

Just a 3-minute walk from Wynwood Walls, Miami’s Museum of Graffiti hosts indoor and outdoor exhibitions to tell the history of the artform with works by top global and local graffiti artists.

Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA)

Moving north to the Miami Design District (a 30-minute walk from Wynwood), we have the Institute of Contemporary Art.

Opened in December 2024, the Nadar Sculpture Park is a 10-minute walk from ICA, also in Miami Design District.

This spectacular outdoor art experience guides you around more than 50 sculptures by iconic artists including Botero, Koons, Kusama, Eliasson, and many more.

Rubell Museum

The Rubell Museum is located in the up-and-coming Allapattah neighborhood, a 30-minute walk west from Wynwood. It spans 36 spacious galleries, a restaurant, a performance space, a bookstore, and a beautiful outdoor garden.

This contemporary art museum in Miami draws from the Rubell family’s collection of over 7,000 works by more than 1,000 artists. There is a strong presence from the 1980s New York art scene, including Keith Haring and Basquiat.

On the other side of Allapattah (a 30-minute walk from the Rubell Museum), Espacio 23 is a warehouse-turned-contemporary-art-gallery founded by collector and philanthropist Jorge M. Pérez. Espacio 23 sources its exhibitions from the Pérez Art Museum.

Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM)

Moving downtown, PAMM is a must for art lovers. Overlooking Biscayne Bay, the museum’s airy, open spaces and lush hanging gardens create a welcoming space for exploring art.

The collection focuses on international modern and contemporary art, with a particular emphasis on African and Africa Diaspora artists, Caribbean and Caribbean Diaspora artists, Latin American and Latinx artists, Miami-based artists, and self-taught artists.

Beyond its impressive artworks, PAMM serves as a vital community hub for art events in Miami. It hosts educational programs, film screenings, lectures, workshops, and a variety of creative activities for different age groups.

Concerts, performances, and events are held on the museum’s waterfront steps on Thursday nights.
