International student FAQ

What is the American educational model?

The American educational model is closer to the world of work. Classes encourage the active participation of the student through critical readings, case studies, and individual research that provokes original reflections and conclusions. Students are continually stimulated by teachers to work individually and in groups, to understand the value of comparison and negotiation, and to develop projects, managing and planning the different phases. Lessons are aimed at achieving the objectives set by the course study plan, as well as at transversal skills such as problem-solving, result orientation, time management, sense of responsibility, and flexibility.

Will I need a visa to register for online courses at MIU?

the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO)’s International Education Services, or a member of Association of International Credential Evaluators (AICE), or a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES).
